St Lucia / day 4
I think it's so appropriate that Great Britain is called just that...Great. I love the Brits and I think they are great. I find they have a somewhat happy-go-lucky attitude for the most part. Their sense of humor (or is it humour over there?) is one of a kind. Something about their accent makes it sound like they are always in a good mood too. I met Ian on the dive boat yesterday. He's been diving for 20 years with his wife Michelle. They have dived all over this blue planet of ours. His take on diving: every dive is a great dive, especially when followed by a cold beer and a smoke ! Cheers mate !
Now back to this trip at The Body Holiday. It comes to an end tommorrow. Well, sort of. We're moving to their sister hotel in Castries, The Rendez-Vous. Couples oriented. Looking forward to that. Not really sure what to expect yet. Andrew, who picked our business card that brought us here this week, says the site is somewhat smaller but just as beautiful as here, with the same attentive staff looking after our every need. Hmmm, sounds quite OK to me !
Our stay here has been fantastic. Got pampered an spoiled over the last 4 days. We both feel great and we have yet to see any of the "rain showers" or "morning rain showers" I saw on the long term forcast last week before our departure. Seems St-Lucia's weather forcasters went to the same Weather Forecasting University our Canadian forecasters attended ! Again, great for us.
This hotel will definately be on our minds for a while and we will surely recommend it to potential customers who are looking for this kind of holiday. The Body Holiday-Le Sport, Give us your body for a week and we'll give you back your spirit. I get it now....even after just 4 days !
PS. Thanks to all the scuba diving center staff and particularly my dive instructor Daniel. Not only did they handle all my gear (I never needed to haul my gear anywhere, t'was all taken care of!) but I have now got my Advanced Open Water certification....all in just 2 1/2 days of "work".
